Where to Breastfeed in Dallas/Fort Worth

Before I became a breastfeeding mom, I never even noticed if there were clean and quiet places to feed my baby. That quickly changed when I had my daughter. Suddenly I realized there was a real lack of places to feed my baby without having to run to a bathroom or use a nursing cover. With my second kiddo I care a whole lot less about whipping the what is now really just a feeding device out whenever and wherever. However, there are some times you just want to go somewhere quiet and private. Here are my best spots in DFW that I’ve found so far. Please message me and let me know if you’ve found others because I definitely want to know!

Stores that always have a Mother’s Room

  • Baby’s ‘R Us

  • Buy Buy Baby

  • Nordstrom

Fort Worth

Fort Worth Museum

  • Small room in Children’s Museum area. Often a hot commodity though so be prepared to wait your turn.

Fort Worth Zoo

  • Really no area here. I ended up going in MOLA because it had AC and just sitting on a ledge with the stroller in front of me. Otherwise you could use the little 20 minute short movie time after you go through the Bat and Bug exhibit. It’s the Lone Star Mining Movie House. It’s super dark in there and you could sit on a bench near the back. It would be louder because of the movie but it’s mostly dialogue and instrumental music.

Mid-Cities

Sports Arenas

  • No dedicated nursing areas at any of them really but here are some tips on where to find family restrooms or quiet areas.

  • AT&T Stadium

  • There are five (5) First Aid locations at the stadium where medical treatment is available and they would probably let you nurse in there:

  • Event Level - Northeast Tunnel

  • Main Concourse - Behind Sections 219 and 244

  • Upper Concourse - Behind Sections 420 and 451

  • Baby changing stations are located in all family restrooms throughout AT&T Stadium. These restrooms are located on all concourses and on each Club and Suite level.

  • Globe Life Park in Arlington

  • Family restrooms are located here:

  • At the Kid's Zone behind center field

  • Inside First Aid on the Main Concourse near Section 5

  • Inside First Aid on the Lexus Club near Section 208

DFW Airport

  • Dallas Fort Worth International Airport DFW offers a nursing mothers room for moms Located in Terminal A Near gate A18.

  • Many moms don't yet know about this lactation room, but if you need to express breastmilk at DFW airport please call 972-973-3112 for the access code to the room.

Northeast Mall

  • Nordstrom

Dallas

Perot Museum

  • Dedicated nursing area on 4th floor. Just a partitioned area at the base of the staircase. Not the most convenient if you have older kiddos that might want to be playing in the Children’s Museum on the lower level.

North Park Mall

  • Actually, there are nursing rooms at Northpark. Near Babystyle. If you're standing at the Babystyle door, facing directly out, go down that wide hall. Before you get to the doors leading to the courtyard and the other part of the mall, you'll see a hallway on your left. Go down that hallway, and you'll see a nursing room. There are family restrooms there as well that have shielded nursing chairs in them

  • Nordstrom

Dallas Zoo

  • Quiet room near guest services

Dallas Love Field

  • Located across the hall from a play area for kids

American Airlines Center

  • First Aid station locations:

  • Plaza Concourse near Section 111

  • Terrace Concourse near Section 313

Nebraska Furniture Mart

  • First Floor Bathrooms near Subway there is a Mother’s Room
